The Texas Education Freedom Accounts student application will open February 4th and close March 17th, 2026. If your program is participating in TEFA, you have the best opportunity to make sure students enrolled in your program apply. Start talking to your parents now! This newsletter includes FREE resources to help market your program and connect families with support for their TEFA journey.
TEFA Family Info Sessions
In-person events are being hosted across the state for parents interested in TEFA. Free lunch and kid-friendly activities will be provided!
Families who join will learn:
- Helpful information about TEFA.
- How to apply.
- More ways TEFA can help them access different education options.
Space is limited. Encourage parents to register to guarantee their spot.

Virtual Parent Info Session
Early Ed Canary is partnering with Outschool.org to host a webinar for interested families. In this virtual info session, we will:
- Review the TEFA student application.
- Discuss necessary documents and eligibility for pre-k families.
- Share navigation tips to help parents select the best setting for their child.
Encourage parents to join us on February 17th at 6:00 – 7:00 pm! This session can also serve as a trainer for those helping families apply.
